Dr. Heiko Ruetter, lead researcher at the University of Bonn Hosptial studying the link between a gene mutation and bladder exstrophy, is seeking blood donations from bladder exstrophy patients and their families for the next clinical trials. A larger sample size of people with bladder exstrophy is needed to help facilitate future advancements in the research.

How to participate

Families can get involved by giving a blood sample (2-5 ml EDTA blood) drawn by their physician. The blood sample is mandatory for the affected person in the family and optional for the biological parents of this person.
