More than 100 patients receiving treatment in India

CivilHospital8th ANNUAL OPERATIVE WORKSHOP on Exstrophy and Epispadias Complex – Ahmedabad, India – January 7, 2016

After months of planning, Dr. Rakesh Joshi, Professor & Head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery at the Main Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad, India will once again welcome colleagues over the next two days for the 8th Annual Operative Workshop on Exstrophy and Epispadias Complex.

This year Dr. Joshi and his team welcome international exstrophy experts from the United States, Qatar and Iran to treat over 100 exstrophy patients from all over India, as well as two patients who will be traveling from Iran and Turkmenistan.

I am honored to represent A-BE-C again this year on behalf of our global community. Over the next 10 days, please join me to learn more about the unique challenges families face living with bladder exstrophy from this part of the world and how they are coping with it. If you wish, post photos of your child with exstrophy and your location. I will share with the families here so they can feel the support of the A-BE-C community and know they are not alone in their struggle.
