Specialty – Dr. Kropp is the Medical Director of Pediatric Urology, Cook Children’, in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Kropp conducts research into tissue engineering and the use of bio materials in regenerative bladder augmentation. His major clinical focus is in the reconstruction of exstrophy and neurogenic bladders.
Education – Dr. Kropp received his M.D. from the University of Toledo. He interned and completed his residency at Indiana University, and he was a fellow at Indiana University’s James Whitcomb Riley Children’s Hospital.
Other – Dr. Kropp is a member of the National Institutes of Health, The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, the Bladder Progress Review Group, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and the Pediatric Urology Research Council. He served as president of the Society of Fetal Urology, co-chair of the Scientific Program Committee for the Society of Pediatric Urology, and chair of the Basic Science Program Committee for the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has published numerous articles and presented at many national and international scientific meetings. He is also a reviewer for the Journal of Urology and a section editor for the Pediatric Urology Newsletter.
