Join us for a joint conference and picnic July 8-9, 2022 at the Maritime Conference Center in Baltimore, MD. Please note, the following guidelines must be followed at all Johns Hopkins (JHM) events, regardless of whether the event occurs at a JHM location on or off-site:

Universal face coverings must be worn by all attendees, regardless of vaccination status, at all indoor events in clinical or public areas of clinical buildings. Masks are not required to be worn at outdoor events or indoor events in non-clinical/non-public spaces.

Conference Sessions & Parking

Meeting sessions, family picnic and lodging will all take place at the Maritime Conference Center. Self parking is available anywhere on site. Click here for a map of the closest parking facilities.

Saturday, July 9th 

  • Registration and Breakfast – 7:15AM
  • Conference sessions – 8AM – 4PM – Download the full agenda. 
  • Family Fun for All Ages! – 4-6PM –  Join us by the pool for post-conference games, swimming and other activities! Snacks will be provided.

***Attendees will have dinner on their own, but are invited to join together again later for more fun and entertainment from 8-10PM in the bar/game room. Snacks will be provided.

Transportation

Complimentary hotel shuttle, serving BWI Airport, BWI Amtrak and the BWI Business District Light Rail is running on a limited schedule – Sundays from 7AM to 8PM, Fridays from 2PM to 6PM and Saturdays 6AM to 2PM.

Please contact the hotel at 410-859-5700 ext. 0, the day before your arrival to confirm availability. App-based ride services and taxies are available in our area as an alternative.

Childcare

We will have childcare available for children of all ages provided by certified staff members. School-age children will rotate through various activities including a LEGO STEM challenge, slime making, water bead jars, outdoor games, painting projects, edible cooking crafts, a mini BINGO game, fuse bead art, sand art, and bookmark/bracelet weaving. We also have a teddy bear clinic, science workshop, tie dye workshop, and a clown show.

Childcare and activities will be available for your children, divided by age. The rooms will be staffed by certified volunteers. Please arrive at Room A300 and staff will direct you to the childcare rooms. Parents will need to bring ID and check their children in and out. Parents, also be sure to bring your cell phone and provide the number so the care providers can reach you if needed. Volunteers may bring children to the outside play areas. If you do not want them to be taken out of the childcare rooms to the outside play areas, please let us know. You may also want to apply sunscreen prior to drop-off.

Note: Care providers are not able to assist in cathing, diapering, feeding, or naps.
