We are pleased to announce that Janet Gibson and Joseph B. Redman have joined as the newest members of Association for the Bladder Exstrophy Community’s board of directors. Before joining the board, both were already committed volunteers with a passion for A-BE-C’s mission.

Janet Gibson has long been an advocate for vulnerable children, including time spent living in Jinja, Uganda where she first became aware of the lack of medical resources for exstrophy patients in Africa. She is currently A-BE-C’s global care liaison for the continent, and has been instrumental in building a network of support there.

Joseph B. Redman, a bladder exstrophy patient himself, is a successful entrepreneur and business owner from Kentucky. In addition to a patient perspective, he brings to the board his innovative ideas for A-BE-C’s continued growth.

Attendees of this weekend’s International Exstrophy Conference will get a chance to hear from Janet and Joseph, who are each speaking at the event.

Joseph will share his patient experience at 10:30am Saturday.

Janet speaks on Sunday at 11 am about the need for multi-national collaboration and training.
